The State of the CMS

In 2018, AREA 17 released Twill, an open source CMS toolkit for Laravel. In use by the agency for nearly all client projects, Twill represents the culmination of 15 years of product thinking and countless design and development hours.

George Eid (AREA 17, Founder/CEO) will give a short talk on the state of the CMS, what compelled the agency to create Twill, and why release it open source.

Quentin Renard (Lead Engineer) will give a demo of the product with live coding examples and share developer use-cases such as headless, multi-tenant, and Service Oriented Architecture.

Jesse Golomb (Product Owner) will lead a discussion on the Twill roadmap and how, through public collaboration, we aim to solve the key challenges of developer control, publisher freedom, and design system integrity.
