Event guidelines

Read these before you submit. Most declines are for one of the reasons in the right-hand column

What we list

Events where engineers learn from each other:

  • Meetups and user groups
  • Conferences and their CFPs
  • Workshops and hands-on training
  • Online talks and live streams
  • Hackathons and community days

What we turn down

These are the usual reasons we decline an event:

  • Sales demos or product webinars dressed up as talks
  • Recruiting events with no technical content
  • No public event page, or one that asks for payment details to see the agenda
  • Dates or prices that do not match the event page
  • Topics outside Laravel, PHP and web development

Times and timezones

Enter the start and end in the local time of the event and pick its timezone. For online events, use the timezone you announce it in, and we work out the rest.

The description

Write it in Markdown. Say who it is for, what the talks or sessions cover, and who is speaking if you know. Keep the promotion to the event itself.

Review and listing

We review every event before it goes live and may edit the summary for length and clarity. If something needs changing we reply to your email first.

The fee

Each event costs $25 to list. You pay by card on Stripe right after you submit, and we review the event once it is paid. The fee pays for the review, so it is not refunded if we decline the event.
